Hon. D. Gary Young, (Long time member till his passing (2006-2018)

International Aromacologist specialist world renowned for his advances in the therapeutic uses of essential oils (We honor and give tribute to the long time contributions made by D. Gary Young to IEWS)

• Founder of Young Life Research Clinic, Institute of Natural medicine - was the only research clinic using essential oils on human subjects to validate their therapeutic efficacy
• Now relocating the clinic by opening the first University based essential oils clinic in South America
• Discovered the DNA repair effects of essential oils and wrote the first paper about it in 1997
• Conducted the first clinical trials treating cancer with essential oils in 1985
• Discovered the ancient Egyptian ritual of emotional clearing called “cleansing the flesh and the blood”; translated and published in 1994
• Developer/Formulator of over 450 health care products using essential oils that are sold in over 46 countries
• Author of 6 books and co-author of 5 research papers

• His technique, known as the Gas Discharge Visualization technique (GDV), is a breakthrough beyond Kirlian photography for direct, real-time viewing of the human aura.  The GDV technique is accepted by Russian Ministry of Health as a Medical technology device and also more than 300 doctors, practitioners, and researchers use this technology worldwide.

• Graduated in 1979 with a B.Sc. degree in (Biology)
• He received a doctorate in naturopathic medicine in the first full-time undergraduate class (1987) from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM).
• Dr. Elvis Ali has been in private practice for 20 years and has a special interest in Chinese medicine, sports medicine and nutrition.
• He is a staff member at CCNM and Director of Naturopathic Medicine at Swiss Natural Sources
• Dr. Elvis Ali is a frequent guest on radio and TV as he strives in his commitment to increase the awareness of alternative healing options.
• His mission is to educate the public, be a spokesperson for complementary medicine and through continued research in the field of naturopathic medicine, bring safe and non-intrusive options into the public domain.

• Geoffrey Riley has a rich background in entrepreneurial endeavors, including the ownership of a Fitness Club and Body Electro Enhancements. Registered Nutritionist with over 14 years of clinical nutritional experience Canadian pioneer and trainer in Electro Dermal (Biofeedback Technician) screening methods and sales from 1988 to present, now widely recognized and used in clinics as an assessment tool for many health conditions
• Executive board member of 25 years – International Organization of Nutritional Consultants Founding member of the Nutritional Consultants Organization of Canada Canadian Representative for GDV Kirlionics technology; personally trained with its inventor, Dr. K. Korotkov, in observing how our emotional, mental, and spiritual planes affect the physical body

Dr. Karolina Fritz Ph.D., CMD
We are pleased to have had Dr. Karolina Fritz be part of the Faculty of the Institute of Energy Wellness Studies, in teaching the introductory courses in our Integrated Aromatics Sciences Program. She was with the Institute until courses went online.
• She completed her HBSc degree in Chemical Physics (physics, chemistry, and math) at the University of Toronto in 2002
• She completed her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Toronto in 2007.
• She taught over 5 years at the University of Toronto first year chemistry and second year physical chemistry.
• She has carried-out scientific research in Canada, France, Austria, and the U.S.A.
• She has given presentations in the U.S.A, all over Canada, and internationally in Paris, France, Segovia, Spain, and Linz, Austria.
• She has authored and coauthored over 10 scientific journal and series publications.
• She studied Holistic Nutrition at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in 2008-9.
• She is a Certified Nutritionist Practitioner (CNP).

Floyd Brown, Hons. Med. Tech

• Floyd Brown earned an Honors Diploma in Medical X-Ray Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and has since spent ten years as a Medical X-Ray Technologist for the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists.
• He has also received a health and wellness certificate as a Touch for Health Practitioner from The International Kinesiology College
• Serves as a certified instructor for the Photo Comparative Blood Analysis of Canada where he teaches about live blood and photo comparative blood analysis.
• Today, Mr. Brown  owns and operates Joy in Health and Nutrition in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, where he uses Young Living products in his office. He has spent time in Ecuador working with Young Living Essential Oils Founder and President, Gary Young, conducting research and blood analysis in addition to introducing others to the powerful effects of therapeutic-grade essential oils.
• Mr. Brown has seen first-hand the benefits of essential oils with his live blood work.

Workshop Facilitators 

Joanne Pearce
Joanne is an experienced Aesthetician, who has dedicated over 20 years to the Aesthetic Industry. She is a Holistic Aura Counselor, Reiki Practitioner, Reconnective Healing Practitioner, and is trained in Vita Flex/Raindrop Therapy.
She is currently completing her certification as an Integrated Aromatic Sciences Practitioner and will be one of the few trained in the 3 European systems in the application of essential oils.
For many years, Joanne has been a keynote speaker at aesthetic trade shows across Canada. She is a well known and sought after speaker and she has been invited to speak at several Aesthetic Schools.  The IEWS is delighted to welcome Joanne in teaching our aromatic aesthetic program.
